well known builder and a partner Shree Jagdishbhai C. Patel of M/s. Uma Corporation, having felt a need of a Co-op. Bank, which caters to the Banking requirements of a fast developing city of Surat, had a dream to create a new Bank. He along with Shri Dhirubhai Patel and advocate Shri Chandrakant Nanavati formed a small group of promoters, gathered necessary information of Surat City which was turning very rapidly into Metro City, assembled the statistical details and prepared a project report and submitted to the District Registrar and to the Reserve Bank of India.
